If you thought embarrassing stories from friends arebest saved for retirement events, John will change your mind.

During the interview, John recalls Mark visiting him in thestudio during the recording of his 2009 album Battle Studies.

Mark was so entrenched in 'party mode' when he arrived tothe recording session that he leaned against the wall to keep himself proppedup and was inaudible when attempting to ask for a piece of fruit, John says.

"Yo dude, mind if I have myself a banana," John says with aglazed look on his face and slurred speech, mimicking Mark.

Mark Hoppus Explains His Approach To A Different Spin

Mark had to repeat himself a few times before John understoodhis request.

Mark found the memory hilarious, admitting that it tookcourage to ask for the banana. "I had been eyeing that banana for so long," he jokesin response. "I was looking at that banana like, 'I really really want thatbanana.'"

It's also cool that Hoppus is not afraid to make fun himselfor let others make fun of him.

"Moreimportantly, I'm excited to force millions of people to watch me on a weeklybasis on national television."

Hoppus's own celebrity as a member of rock bands Blink 182and +44 adds great perspective to the show he co-hosts with comedian AmySchumer.
