John Mayer’s European Tour Ends Abruptly Due To Illness

The final dates of John Mayer's European tour have beencanceled due to illness, according to a statement released on the singer-songwriter'swebsite

 

Mayer played a sold-out show in Copenhagenon Sunday, but was not able to perform for the second Copenhagen date scheduled for Monday.

"Regrettably, the illness has caused his remaining Europeanshows scheduled through this week to be canceled as well (Amsterdam,Madrid and Manchester)," a spokesperson said in thestatement.

According to Mayer's website, the June 2 and June 3 concertsat Amsterdam's Heineken Music Hallwere also sold out.

The canceled shows have not been rescheduled. "Ticketholders should apply for refund from point of purchase," the statement said. "Mayeris returning home to the States and a full recovery is expected under adoctor's supervision."

Mayer's road show isexpected to resume on July 16 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Charlotte, NC.
