Justin Bieber Shells Out $10.8 Million For New Home

[Photo: Tony Barson Archive/FilmMagic]Justin Bieber has millions of fans on Facebook and millions of followers on Twitter. And if the rumors are true, he's about to become the owner of a $10.8 million house.

The story broke over on the U.K.'s Daily Mail. The paper reported that the 18-year-old Bieber bought the Hollywood Hills mansion as a kind of birthday gift to himself. Tough life this kid's got.

The dazzling home, which was built in 2006 and rented by Ashton Kutcher for $50,000 a month, is fit for a pop king: It has 9,385 square feet, five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and views of Lake Hollywood that you would not believe.

The modern home was designed by Jeffrey & Rochelle Mills of Mills Studio and completed in 2007. Made up of two glass-and-steel boxes perched on a cliff, the swanky pad is not your old school New England mansion. For one, the living room's glass walls retract, so Bieber (or perhaps his special lady, Selena Gomez) can open up the room on nice days. And of course, there's a movie theater, bar, gym, private garden, infinity pool, and more.

All in all, it beats living in a smelly dorm room, which is what a lot of 18-year-olds are doing right now.
