Kelly Clarkson Opens Up About Boyfriend “Ruining” Her Creativity, But Toning Her Bod!

[Photos: Michael Loccisano/Getty Images; Rick Diamond/Getty Images for BMI]Pop singer Kelly Clarkson is reaping both the rewards and downfalls of no longer being "just me, myself and I." The 30-year-old singer, who rarely ever talks about her private life, opened up to Zap2It that her current boyfriend Brandon Blackstock is "ruining [her] creativity" when it came to songwriting! But it isn't a lack of inspiration that's plaguing the "Duets" star. Clarkson said, "I'm trying to write a tough song and I can't; it's coming out all butterflies and rainbows. It's killing me."

Looks like her fans won't be expecting another single ladies anthem anytime soon—but instead they can maybe expect a slimmer, toner Clarkson!

In addition to affecting the singer's songwriting Clarkson is more motivated to work out with Blackstock in her life. The singer told People, "I have a boyfriend, and if I'm being completely honest, no one likes to be not toned when you are dating someone."

The pair even share a personal trainer to keep them on the health track, but they don't work out together. Clarkson said that "huffing and puffing" and "looking all red and gross" was not a good look for her in front of her boyfriend.

So who Clarkson's low-profile, habit-changing beau? Brandon Blackson is the son of Clarkson's manager Narvel Blackstock and the stepson of Reba McEntire. He's also a talent manager who has fellow singing competition star Blake Shelton on his roster. The two have been dating since late 2011.

Kelly Clarkson will be competing against Robin Thicke, John Legend and Jennifer Nettles to find the best duet partner on her new singing competition show "Duets." Contestants will get to perform with the star singers on the show and the winner will sign a recording contract with Hollywood Records. "Duets" debuts Thursday, May 24.
