Lady Gaga Postpones Tour Dates Due To Injury, Apologizes Profusely To Fans

Lady Gaga (Photo: Vathiswa Ruselo)Calling all Little Monsters: Brace yourself, because Lady Gaga has some disappointing news to share. The singer announced Tuesday she must put a temporary halt on her Born This Way Ball due to an injury that's forcing her off stage for a few dates.

Gaga, of all stars, knows how devoted her fans are--and how devoted she is to them--so her announcement on Twitter was gravely worded. "I hardly know what to say," she tweeted, then explained her full situation.

"I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened. I've been praying it would heal," she noted. "I hid it from my staff, I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can't."

Gaga is under doctor's orders to postpone her upcoming dates in Chicago; Detroit; and Hamilton, Ontario. Her diagnosis is synovitis, which is a severe inflammation of the joints.

"I am completely devastated and heartsick," Gaga reiterated to her audience. "To the fans in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, I hope you can forgive me as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself right now. I would do anything for you. I will hopefully heal as soon as possible and be at 500% again, which is what you deserve."

Aw, shucks, Gaga--we're sure everyone understands. It's certainly disappointing...but sit back and get some rest, already!

Those who were going to attend the postponed dates are advised to hold on to their tickets, as Gaga plans to reschedule them as soon as possible. Her additional dates on the are expected to be unaffected and continue as scheduled. Fans can check in at her official site for up-to-date info.
