Lady Gaga Proves She Was ‘Born This Way’ With Cute Childhood Photo

Awww! Who wants to see a picture of Lady Gaga when the megastar was, literally, a "little monster"? The singer randomly decided to tweet a cute photo of herself at age 9 on Saturday--and, it must be said, she seems to have been quite the character even as a youngster!

The snapshot shows little Gaga, then known as Stefani Germanotta, dressed all in black--possibly a Halloween or dance recital costume. (But then again, this is Gaga, so perhaps it's just another outfit for another day at elementary school.) True to form, she's also sporting winged eyeliner, red lipstick, and a wide-eyed pose for the camera.

Talk about "Born This Way"--right?

At any rate, Gaga isn't afraid to poke a little fun at herself. "God bless my mother," she tweeted as a caption to the photo.

Gaga was most recently in Italy on Monday, where she met up with fashion designer Donatella Versace and showed off her figure in a revealing Versace gown. Having fielded criticism for gaining 25 pounds over the summer, the singer has turned the situation around into a positive opportunity to discuss healthy body image with her fans.
