One Direction Shows Off New ‘Scooby-Doo’-Styled Van

By Laura Ferreiro

Ruh-roh! It looks like the guys in One Direction will be cruising around Scooby-style in some tricked out new wheels very soon.

Band members Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik posted a photo of their new Mystery Machine, which is designed to look like the colorful van that Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, and the gang would travel around in while solving mysteries in the popular Hanna-Barbera animated series.

The band reportedly took the van to car customizer Yianna Charambous's shop and spent more than $100,000 to have it customized to resemble the Scooby-Doo mobile, reports British newspaper The Mirror.

Tomlinson tweeted, "Have to say a huge thank you to everyone @yiannimize for making mine and @zaynmalik's mystery machine."

Photos of the van show "The Mystery Machine" painted on one side, and sources told the British paper that the One Direction logo will be stamped on the other side of the blue and green van.

The 1D mobile will reportedly have all sorts of mod cons on the inside, including individual entertainment consoles to keep the boys occupied during long journeys. If all goes as planned, they'll take it with them on their U.S. summer tour. Zoinks!
