Robbie has long been rumored to be gay, despite recently marrying his longtime girlfriend, Ayda Field. In fact, in 2005 he won a libel case over newspaper articles that claimed he was a closeted homosexual. But happily, this in no way has caused Robbie to shy away from such subject matter. If anything, it's made him bolder and cheekier, judging from his new bromance video, in which he and his once-estranged friend Gary stare longingly at each other across a dance floor and frolic shirtlessly in the mountains.
While this video will probably only reignite is-he-or-isn't-he speculation about Robbie's lovelife, we say, who really cares? The "Shame" video is a hoot, plain and simple, and it's great to see Robbie poking fun at homosexuality rumors, proving that he no longer cares what people think. And besides, the lyrics to the song are unexpectedly tender, clearly describing Robbie and Gary's turbulent friendship. It's nice to see that despite their 15 years apart, these two can't quit each other.
