Taylor Swift’s Grammys Streak is Safe and Sound with ‘Hunger Games’ Win

Taylor Swift's Grammys streak is safe and sound. The pop-country star nabbed an early Grammy on Sunday night for her "Hunger Games" collaboration with the Civil Wars and T-Bone Burnett, taking her Grammy tally past the half-dozen mark. The song, "Safe & Sound," was featured in the 2012 blockbuster movie "The Hunger Games" and won the pre-show Grammy for Best Song Written For Visual Media.

Swift -- who opened the 55th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony dressed as the Mad Hatter in a Cirque de Soleil-style rendition of her hit song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"-- was on hand for the pre-telecast portion of the show, and she couldn't hide her excitement when the Visual Media win was announced.

After taking the stage with fellow songwriters T-Bone Burnett, Joy Williams and John Paul White, an emotional Swift tweeted the news to her fans: "WE JUST WON A GRAMMY FOR SAFE AND SOUND!!!!!!!!!!"

The "Hunger Games" promotional single beat out songs by Arcade Fire, Birdy with Mumford & Sons, Katharine McPhee with Megan Hilty, and Jason Segal and Walter.

After Swift thanked her collaborators (as well as "Hunger Games" author Suzanne Collins), the Civil Wars' John Paul White said, "I think it's appropriate that Taylor thanks us as we've been carrying her for a while now." You can check out the un-televised acceptance speech here.

And while Taylor Swift has vowed to "never, ever get back together" with an unnamed ex, let's hope this unique songwriting team gets back together very, very soon.
