Woman Gives Birth During Rolling Stones’ Set at Glastonbury Festival

Plenty of people get excited about seeing the Rolling Stones, but few get as excited as a woman at the Glastonbury Festival on Saturday night. Heidi Wesson got so worked up that she went into labor two weeks early during the veteran rockers' headlining set at the massive British music festival.

As a result, she had to miss the end of the Stones' set and was taken to the Glastonbury medical center, where she gave birth to a baby girl at 3:00am Sunday morning, reports NME. A Glastonbury spokesperson confirmed the birth and said it wasn't the first time a baby has been welcomed into the world during the festival: "We'd like to send our congratulations to the family. We look forward to welcoming them back in future years. We've had babies born here that are now grown-ups. They still come every year. That's a beautiful thing."

The mother and baby are reportedly doing well, and have been receiving well-wishes on Facebook.

The only downside was that Wesson had to miss the final day of the Glastonbury Festival, which included performances by Mumford & Sons, Smashing Pumpkins, Vampire Weekend, and Phoenix.

Meanwhile, the Rolling Stones finished up their rousing Glastonbury debut without interruption, playing hits including "Gimme Shelter," "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction."
