Duran Duran Team Up With David Lynch For Live Webcast

American Express has tapped David Lynch to direct a live webcast of a forthcoming Duran Duran concert at the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles. This will be the fourth in the company's American Express Unstaged series in which big-name directors are paired with popular live acts -- previously, Terry Gilliam teamed up with the Arcade Fire at Madison Square Garden and Spike Lee directed a show by the Roots and John Legend at Terminal 5 in Manhattan.

The concert will be streamed live on March 23rd beginning at 10 p.m. EST on Duran Duran's Vevo page. The band will be playing old hits and songs from their new album All You Need Is Now, but Lynch's plans for the show are a bit more abstract and unpredictable. "The idea is to try and create on the fly, layers of images permeating Duran Duran on the stage," he said in a statement about the gig.
