Listen: The Weeknd’s Sultry Mixtape ‘Thursday’

It's Thursday on a Friday. The Weeknd, Drake's Protégé and Toronto-based falsetto wunderkind Abel Tesfaye, dropped his second mixtape Thursday last night at midnight on his website. While the download is running slow, you can listen to the follow-up to House of Balloons here.

Thursday features much of what was great about the Canadian R&B singer's last release-etherial beats, Tesfaye's silky pipes and a handy dash of self-indulgence-with a deft collaboration with Drake on "The Zone" thrown in.

Even with two releases already under his belt, the 21-year-old Tesfaye has made no plans of slowing down - he is set to release a third mixtape as The Weeknd, Echoes of Silence, before the year is out.
