After months of delays, Bono and the Edge's musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark finally debuted on Broadway this week and Rolling Stone was there. Evie Nagy reviewed the production, which she says is no longer such a trainwreck, but has sadly lost some of its "tragic glory" since becoming a competent, crowd-pleasing show. We also talked to Bono and the Edge about the rebooted show. "I really believe in these tunes,"says Bono. "I really believe in the creative team."
Rolling Stone also chatted with the Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl about his band's hilarious new tour rider, talked to Fountains of Wayne about their dark new album Sky Full of Holes, and caught up with rapper Rick Ross and controversial dancehall star Vybz Kartel. We also reviewed some of the week's biggest concerts, including Britney Spears' tour kickoff in Sacramento, Mötley Crüe's pyro-heavy gig at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Sade's sultry set in Baltimore and the Monkees' performance at Manhattan's Beacon Theater.

On the pop culture front, Peter Travers reviewed the sci-fi super hero flick Green Lantern, which he says is "comic book movie hell," and the "vital, indispensible" documentary Page One: Inside The New York Times.
