Though Lane was the primary songwriter for Warrant and penned the band's signature hits "Heaven" and "Cherry Pie," he left the group several times over after an initial falling out in 1993. In recent years, he appeared on VH1's Celebrity Fit Club 2 in 2005, released an album with Saints of the Underground in 2008 and filled in as the singer of Great White for one tour in 2010.
