2010 Hillbilly Bone

Country singer Blake Shelton will release his newest album, a six-track EP he calls a "six pack," on Tuesday, March 2, titled Hillbilly Bone. Watch his hilarious new video featuring Trace Adkins and check out the rest of his career-spanning videos in this edition of Then & Now.



2008 Startin' Fires

Shelton released Startin' Fires in 2008 and the single "She Wouldn't Be Gone" reached the number one spot of Billboard's Country Singles. The album also features a duet with Miranda Lambert on the track, "Bare Skin Rug."



2007 Pure BS

The cleverly titled Pure BS was released in 2007 and reached the top 10 of The Billboard 200, but narrowly missed the top of the Country Albums chart. Be sure to check out the video for the sobriety song "The More I Drink."



2004 Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill

Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill released in 2004 and includes the very funny single "Some Beach" which reached the top of Billboard's Country Singles chart that year.



2003 The Dreamer

The single "The Baby" reached the top of the Country Singles chart in 2002 and Shelton's sophomore release, The Dreamer, released shortly after in 2003.



2001 Debut

Shelton turned his songwriting into a successful recording in 2001 with his debut single, "Austin" from his self-titled debut--the song eventually spent five weeks at number one. "All Over Me" and "Ol' Red" followed in 2002, pushing his album to go gold.



1976 Beginnings

Shelton was born in Ada, Oklahoma and moved to Nashville after high school at only 16 years old to pursue his songwriting career. He had received statewide attention when he won the Denbo Diamond Award, the top award for young Oklahoma entertainers. In Nashville, Shelton was able to get several songs published with Naomi Martin Music, Warner/Chappell Music, and Jerry Crutchfield Music.
