Inducted into the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, Blondie emerged as one of the great pop icons of New York's celebrated late '70s new wave punk scene by defying easy categorization. They wrote great rock hooks and brilliant, ironic lyrics. The band sometimes incorporated pop, disco, reggae, and rap into their musical style. They had the hippest clothes and the coolest hair. Worldwide record sales for Blondie exceed 40 million. The newest album, Panic of Girls was released September 13, 2011. Let's take a journey back and check out their awesome music videos.

2004 Live by Request

Live by Request is Blondie's entry in the A&E Network concert series that was released as a CD and DVD. Debbie Harry still sounds and looks great. Watch Blondie perform "Call Me", "Accidents Never Happen", and "Dreaming" live.



 

 

2004 The Curse of Blondie

"Good Boys" is prime Blondie the way they should be -- pulsing layers of synthesizers are punctuated by sharp guitar riffs and the whole prize is dressed up in an infectious hook that's one part bubblegum, one part sexy chanteuse.

 

 

1980 Autoamerican

"The Tide Is Hight" became a #1 hit in U.S. and U.K. with it's reggae under tones. "Rapture" is rock-rap crossover success.


 

 

1979 Eat to the Beat

Eat to the Beat was the fourth studio album from Blondie. "Atomic" reached #1 on the U.K. charts. "The Hardest Part" is an ultra cool video.



 

 

1978 Parallel Lines

"Heart of Glass" was an unqualified success, reaching number #1 in both the U.S. and the U.K. "Hanging on the Telephone" reached #5 and "Picture This" reached #12 on the U.K. charts respectively.



 

 

1977 Plastic Letters

Plastic Letters is the sophomore effort from Blondie. "Denis" was a smash hit the U.K., reaching #2 on the charts. Check out the videos for "Detroit 442" and "(I'm Always Touched By Your) Presence, Dear."



 

 

1976 Blondie

Blondie's debut album arrived in 1976. Musically "X Offender" is faultless, with lyrics about a criminal's love for the cop who busted her that are funny, odd, and wicked. "In the Flesh" is a double-entendre love song that's both romantic and extremely sensual.
