2011 Alpocalypse

Weird Al Yankovic is the foremost song parodist of our era. He has given us many hilarious videos that add a different twist on popular songs of today. Let's take a journey back and look at his awesome work.

His thirteenth studio album, Alpocalypse, skewered the likes of Lady Gaga ("Perform This Way") and Miley Cyrus ("Party in the CIA"). The Alpocalypse arrived on June 21, 2011.

2009 Internet Leaks

Internet Leaks is an EP released by Weird Al Yankovic in 2009. The EP earned a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album. The video for "CNR" is a fun look at possessing superhuman strength.

 

 

2006 Straight Outta Lynwood

"White & Nerdy" is a suburban take on Chamillionaire's big hit "Ridin'." "Trapped in the Drive-Thru" turns R. Kelly's epic "Trapped in the Closet" into a funny what's for dinner adventure.

 


 

2003 Poodle Hat

"Bob" is a video and song that is similar to Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues."

 

 

1999 Running with Scissors

Weird Al Yankovic uses Diddy's "It's All About The Benjamins" on Running with Scissors. He makes an anthem for geeky computer terminology along with wearing shiny hip hop suits.

 

 

1996 Bad Hair Day

The first single off Bad Hair Day was a parody of Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise" called "Amish Paradise." Weird Al Yankovic also did a parody of The Presidents Of The United States of America's hit "Lump" which he called "Gump."

 


 

1995 The TV Album

The TV Album was another of Weird Al Yankovic's many compilation albums, collecting all of the songs he had written about television as well as all of his parodies of TV themes. Among the standouts on this album is "I Lost on Jeopardy" and "Money For Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies."

 


 

1993 The Food Album

This 1993 set from Weird Al Yankovic collects previously-released, food-themed parodies onto one disc. It's a hokey, hilarious, and often ingenious set, including the classics "Eat It," "Fat," and "I Love Rocky Road." The Food Album is truly an enjoyable bag of treats.

 

 

1992 Off the Deep End

When Nirvana stormed the scene with "Smells Like Teen Sprit," a song that turned the music world upside down, Weird Al Yankovic not surprisingly chose it to parody. "Smells Like Nirvana" pokes fun at the original version's incoherent lyrics and was a smash hit. It reveals the kind of brilliant writing Yankovic is capable of doing.

 

 

1985 Dare To Be Stupid

Dare To Be Stupid begins with what is perhaps his best parody ever, the brilliant and cutting "Like a Surgeon." Turning the Madonna hit inside out and upside down, Weird Al Yankovic comes up with a hilarious satire of the medical profession.
