Katy Perry is the latest superstar singer to shoot a homemade video of herself and friends partying along to Bieber protégé and Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen's undeniably catchy hit, "Call Me Maybe." After a video featuring Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale and friends goofing along to the song went viral, thousands of YouTubers have been chiming in with their own videos, including actor James Franco.

Some say that life begins at 30. But the stars of "We're Not Young" aren't exactly living the good life. Both sad and funny, the parody video from Yahoo!'s SketchY comedy series, features a 30-something guy spoofing the hit song "We Are Young," by Fun.

The tune has stayed stubbornly at number one on Billboard's hot 100, which made it a prime target for the "viral video treatment," as the Hollywood Reporter put it.

The spoof has certainly caught on: The clip has already been viewed over 600,000 times and received about 40,000 "likes" on Facebook, and counting.

Katy Perry is best known for her ultra-sweet style--ranging from easter-egg-colored hair to dresses made out of candy--but she turns this trademark on its ear with the new video for her latest single "Part Of Me."

In the clip, Perry reacts to a cheating boyfriend in a swift and impulsive manner: She transforms herself completely...into an iron-tough, masculine Marine. Katy...as a Marine?

Perry's metamorphosis into character is rapid and dramatic, starting with hacking all her hair off in a gas station bathroom and tossing it into the toilet. She then binds her chest, trades her sundress for an androgynous drab hoodie, and accepts a backpack and fatigues from a Marine recruiter.

When socialites/reality stars and music mix, the outcome is overwhelmingly bad—note Kim Kardashian and Heidi Montag. Paris Hilton, who seemed to have slipped from her hard-partying celebutante throne, is back with a new song and video entitled "Drunk Text".  Seriously.

A dance-y, thankfully spoken word song, Paris recounts the highs and lows of clubbing, drunk texting, and the consequences thereof, from racy photos to the dangers of Twitter. The beat is catchy, the lyrics are hilarious, and the video is truly distills the essence of what it means to be Paris.  Less pop, more Euro, Hilton's new song is a "Stars Are Blind" killer, and is sure to make the rounds at the all-night parties in Europe and South America. A hot, eye-rolling, monotone female vocalist is key to make a hit dance song!
