Adam Ant Covers

I recently posted a New Romantics playlist, and as you would expect, the very first track in that playlist was an Adam & The Ants song. Stuart Leslie Goddard, better known as Adam Ant, was the pinnacle of the New Romantic movement in the 80s and I was a huge fan. After finding fame, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and after a couple of arrests he received extended psychiatric care. Although Adam's musical career kind of faded into oblivion in the U.S., rumor has it that a bidding war is currently under way over an album of new material. Much of the music that Adam Ant has recorded is considered unique and unmatched by legions of adoring fans called "antpeople", and he has inspired whole new generations of musicians who continue to discover his music with each new year that passes. This playlist features 10 Adam Ant tracks as remade by others.
