My little girl is a Brownie in the Girl Scouts this year and she loves it. I spent the day helping her sell cookies door to door in our neighborhood and I had to spend some time explaining to her that sales don't come so easily in the real world. Not many people can resist helping a child raising money for such a good organization and it doesn't hurt that you can't get Thin Mints or Caramel DeLites from anywhere except a local Girl Scout. The Girl Scout Cookie Program helps girls develop five essential skills --Goal Setting, Decision Making, Money Management, People Skills and Business Ethics and I tried to help my daughter on all of these points as she set goals, made sales pitches, counted money and kept everything organized. It really can help a girl learn some valuable lessons and I'm looking forward to getting the 800 boxes I ordered for myself . Anyway, since it was a day filled with cookies I thought I would create a playlist to help solidify the memory of a some wonderful time spent with my daughter.
