I watched the latest Star Trek movie with my kids tonight. This is the second full-length Star Trek film they've seen. And I've got to tell you, it's amazing to see their little minds going about the mysteries and possibilities of space. Not unlike what I experienced watching the original series when I was growing up. I've never been a Trekkie, but I do understand the draw that the subject of space exploration holds. And no series has captured the genre like Star Trek -- it's made icons out of many of the cast. The original Star Trek captain played by William Shatner is one of the most famous and this playlist features songs that mention Captain Kirk somewhere in the lyrics.
