(10/3/02, 6 p.m. ET) -- Virtually playing off the title of her new album, Jennifer Love Hewitt comes close to appearing "bare naked" in some of the shots for her photo spread in Rolling Stone magazine's October 3 issue.

The singer and actress is seen on the magazine's cover and also inside wearing panties and a mostly unbuttoned shirt that shows cleavage and her bare midsection. In another shot in the magazine, she's just clad in a towel, with a quote, "My breasts have a career of their own. Theirs is going better."

Hewitt told LAUNCH she sees the seductive pictures as all in good fun. "When I go to a photo shoot I am completely a person who is getting to play model for the day and doing a photo shoot has nothing to do with, you know, really who I am as a person unless I'm kind of laughing in the photograph or whatever. And doing those pictures for Rolling Stone for me it was more kind of, it was a fun day to sort of dress up and be something that I'm not 24 hours a day."

Hewitt also believes the actual story in the magazine profile--where she says she does everything like a old woman and lives with her mother--offers a contrast to the sex-kitten shots. "The thing that I loved most about the whole Rolling Stone package for me was that the article does contradict those photos. Because I think people got to see two sides. They get to see the one side, which is a woman. And women sometimes are sexy and vixen-like and scantily clad, and can be that sexy thing. But they're also, you know, a lot of the time dorks at the same time. And both of those sides are a big part of who I am. And so I thought that they represented that well," she said.
