Papa Roach To Play L.A. Rooftop For Record Release
06/13/2002 5:00 PM, Yahoo! Music Jerry Armor
(6/13/02, 5 p.m. ET) - Papa Roach will perform on the roof of a West Los Angeles electronics store Tuesday evening (June 18) to celebrate the release of its second album, Lovehatetragedy, which arrives in stores that day. The set at the Best Buy will be augmented by "pyro and a 20-foot baby," according to a spokesperson at the band's label, DreamWorks Records.
The label also warns about possible major traffic jams as a result of the appearance. The store is located at the intersection of two of L.A.'s more traveled freeways. "If the junction of the 405 and 10 is on your commute route, you might want to consider a different way home Tuesday."
Lovehatetragedy is the follow-up to Papa Roach's multiplatinum debut album from 2000, Infest. The new effort finds the band moving beyond rap-rock into more straightforward rock territory. It features the single "She Loves Me Not."
