Papa Roach To Play Free London Gig

(9/4/01, 10 a.m. ET) -- Papa Roach is set to play a free show at the Brixton Academy in London tomorrow (September 5). Doors open at 6 p.m. local time, and special guests will include Therapy? and Feeder. The performance will be taped for Japanese television.
Papa Roach bassist Tobin Esperance told LAUNCH one of the biggest misconceptions is that the group is just that "Last Resort" band. "A lot of people, they just know us from the 'Last Resort' song, you know, and they think that's it," he said. "I hear all the time people saying, 'You know what? I heard that one song, I thought it was a good song. I was just sick of f--king hearing it, and I thought you guys were just like that f--kin' 'Broken Home' boy band.' And then they come see us live, and they see how raw and straight up we are. And the energy is there and the intensity is there and we just don't give a f--k, and we just bring it, you know?"
