Last week, Lil' Kim was found guilty of three counts of perjury and one count of conspiracy, and the rapper is expected to get three to seven years behind bars when she is sentenced in June. Allhiphop.com reports that Lil' Kim is preparing for the extended vacation by recording new material. The rapper's publicist said, "She is actively in the studio recording."
Lil' Kim will not be the first rapper to release an album from behind bars. Beanie Sigel and C-Murder, who are both incarcerated, plan to release new albums this month. In the past, Shyne, Tupac Shakur, and Mystikal have also released albums while incarcerated, with varying levels of success.
Shakur is the only rapper to have a Number One album, 1995's Me Against The World, while behind bars.
In addition to recording new material, Lil' Kim is also still marketing her clothing and jewelry lines.
