Van Zant is heading out on the road next year. Brothers Johnny and Donnie Van Zant will be on the Redneck Revolution tour with Gretchen Wilson, which is scheduled to run from January 18 in Dallas through April 29 in South Haven, Mississippi. The Van Zants are going out in support of their album Get Right With The Man, which is the biggest-selling debut album in country music this year.
Donnie Van Zant said that he and Johnny decided to hit the road after doing a promotional tour and playing a few songs when the album came out earlier this year. "We did a five-and-a-half week radio tour, where we went out to, I guess, about 64 different radio stations," Van Zant said. "And we just went out, went out there with a couple of acoustic guitars and, and sang two or three of 'em, you know? And that was just a ball to do, you know?"
The Van Zants also played a handful of shows in 2001, when their Van Zant II album came out, but this marks the first time they'll do an extensive tour together.
