'Rock Star' Contestants Rock Out At Butch Walker Gig

The night after the finale of Rock Star: Supernova aired on CBS, many of the show's contestants turned up at Hollywood's Henry Fonda Theater to show their support for Supernova's superproducer, Butch Walker.
An acclaimed powerpop singer-songwriter who has worked behind the scenes with Avril Lavigne, Pink, Lindsay Lohan, Bowling For Soup, and others, Walker will be producing the debut album by Supernova, the reality TV-spawned supergroup comprising Motley Crue's Tommy Lee, Guns N' Roses' Gilby Clarke, Metallica's Jason Newstead, and new Rock Star champ Lukas Rossi.
After appearing as a guest judge on Rock Star before taking off on a nationwide tour, Walker was back in his home base of L.A. for a September 14 gig supporting his acclaimed third solo album, The Rise And Fall Of Butch Walker & The Let's-Go-Out-Tonites. In attendance were Rossi (already acting like a true rock star by trying to cut in line, although club bouncers amusingly made him get back and stand with the commoners); Rock Star finalists Dilana Robichaux, Toby Rand, Magni Asgeirsson, and Patrice Pike; and members of the Donnas, whom Walker has also produced.
Although rumors that skunk-striped Canadian rocker Rossi would join Walker onstage proved unfounded, the two will work together soon enough, when Walker helms the recording of Supernova's album. In the meantime, two Walker-produced Supernova songs, "Be Yourself & 5 Other Cliches" and "It's All Love," will be available for download exclusively in Yahoo! Music Unlimited starting September 19.
