Albert Hammond Jr. is set to join 19-year-old English rocker Jake Bugg out on the road early next year.
The Stokes guitarist is currently wrapping up the European leg of a solo tour in support of his EP, AHJ, which he released in October. His tour with Bugg starts on January 9th in Baltimore and wraps up on January 29th in Houston — Hammond played a number of the same cities last month.
Hammond emerged this past fall with a recharged approach to music following his rehab in 2009, and he hopes to have a follow-up EP out before long. The current solo tour is his first in years. "It feels like the universe has just lined up for me to really take responsibility," he recently told Rolling Stone. "'If you want to do this thing, do it. Stop trying to hide behind things. Just do it and take the good and the bad straight up.' I'm excited about that. I'm ready."
Bugg, meanwhile, has also had a busy fall, releasing his second album, Shangri La, which he recorded with Rick Rubin. He was also shortlisted for the 2013 Mercury Prize and will perform at tonight's Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway.
