Beyonce Will Launch World Tour in April

Beyoncé followed up her dazzling Super Bowl halftime show last night with the promise of a world tour that will begin April 15th in Belgrade, Serbia, and comes to the United States for 22 dates starting June 28th in Los Angeles before wrapping up August 3rd in Brooklyn. She announced the road trip with a short teaser video on her website.

"The Mrs. Carter Show" outing will be Beyoncé's first major tour since 2009's "I AM . . . World Tour." It's the latest in what's shaping up to be a busy year for the singer. In addition to her eight-song set last night in New Orleans, which included a reunion of Destiny's Child, Beyoncé is the subject of Life Is But a Dream, an intimate documentary she directed that will premiere February 16th on HBO.

She's also working on a new album, with collaborators including Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, Timbaland and The-Dream. The album, her fifth, will follow her 2011 release 4.
