Britney Spears is working with will.i.am and Hit-Boy on her next album, Entertainment Weekly reports. Details are scarce so far, but in a Twitter Q&A before New Year's, the singer sidestepped talk of her departure from The X Factor by saying that she's focused on making a new album.

A rep for Spears told EW that the project is still in the planning stages, and said that despite rumors to the contrary, the singer hasn't worked with the producer Elijah Blake.

Spears' last album, Femme Fatale, came out in 2011 and featured production from will.i.am on the track "Big Fat Bass." Hit-Boy, whose credits include tracks with Jay-Z and Kanye West, Rihanna, Justin Bieber and more, hasn't collaborated with Spears before.
