Chris Brown has been accused of stealing a cell phone from a woman in Miami Beach. The singer, who is currently on a five-year probation for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, is being investigated by Miami police following a report from a 24-year-old woman who has fingered Brown in a "robbery by snatching" incident on Sunday.
According to a report from TMZ, the woman tried to take pictures of Brown with her iPhone as he was leaving the Cameo nightclub. The singer allegedly took the camera from her, saying "You ain't going to put that up on no website," and drove away with it.
Katherine Fernandez Rundle, the Florida state attorney for Miami-Dade County, issued a statement yesterday claiming her prosecutors have been interviewing witnesses and reviewing the case and have not yet decided whether to pursue charges against Brown. If charged, Brown risks jail time for probation violation.
