Civil Wars Hint at New Music

After canceling all tour dates last month over "internal discord and irreconcilable differences of ambition," folk duo the Civil Wars have hinted on Twitter about new music. Joy Williams said in a Twitter interview with singer-songwriter Alison Sudol of A Fine Frenzy that she was in the studio listening to new Civil Wars songs, and manager Nate Yetton, Williams' husband, posted a photo of a recording session. Neither Williams nor bandmate John Paul White were pictured.

Despite their inner turmoil, the Civil Wars had still expressed hopes to release new music in 2013, and will put out an Unplugged session in iTunes on January 15th. The Grammy winners are up for two more awards for their track "Safe and Sound" with Taylor Swift on The Hunger Games soundtrack, and have also been nominated for a Golden Globe.
