David Bowie Documentary to Air on BBC in May

David Bowie's return has received another boost, as the BBC will air a documentary on the rock great's life and career in May, NME reports. David Bowie – Five Years focuses on five key years for Bowie – 1971, 1975, 1977, 1980 and 1983 – as well as his comeback efforts for his forthcoming album The Next Day. The film will feature archival footage and interviews with collaborators and fellow musicians. "This is a project that has been in development for more than a decade – in fact, since Bowie and I worked together in 2001 on a film for the BBC Omnibus strand," said director Francis Whately.
