Electric Daisy Carnival Adds Chicago Dates

Electric Daisy Carnival will stop in Chicago en route to this year's EDC Las Vegas, taking over the Chicagoland Speedway on Memorial Day weekend, event producer Insomniac announced today. The electric dance music blowout will hit the Windy City on May 24th, 25th and 26th.

Tickets go on sale January 23rd at 12 p.m. CST. General admission tickets will be priced initially at $175, while VIP tickets will be $299 before service fees; a limited amount of single-day tickets will be available at a later date.

Chicago will also be the first and only EDC event to provide a limited number of attendees the chance for overnight camping next to the festival grounds. The camping/ticket packages will be priced at $295 for general admission, $419 for VIP.

Chicago is the latest addition to EDC's full roster this year, with stops already slated for New York, Puerto Rico and Orlando. They lead up to its largest event in Las Vegas on June 21st, 22nd and 23rd. The lineup has yet to be announced.
