Former Queens of the Stone Age Bassist Reunites With Band on New Album

Dave Grohl and Trent Reznor are already lending a hand to the forthcoming Queens of the Stone Age album. Now, original bassist Nick Oliveri has reunited with the band to work on the record, too. "[Nick] has recently recorded his vocals on a new Queens of the Stone Age song," reads a Facebook post by Oliveri's band Mondo Generator, which also mentions that Oliveri has rejoined Kyuss.

Oliveri attended high school with QOTSA singer Josh Homme; the two played with Kyuss and later formed QOTSA. Oliveri was heatedly dismissed from the latter in 2004 and was arrested for a felony domestic violence incident after a stand-off with a Los Angeles S.W.A.T. team last year.
