Free Energy Crank Out Sweet Riffs on 'Love Sign' – Album Premiere

Don't tell Free Energy that rock is dead. The retro-inspired power-poppers return on January 15th with their second album, Love Sign, and it's packed with sweet riffs, booming drums and plenty of cowbell. Opener "Electric Fever" explodes with dueling guitars, fiery "Whoa-oh" shouts and fist-pumping conviction, while "Dance All Night" seduces with a smoky lead lick and dizzying piano touches.

The Philadelphia band mostly keeps it high-impact, digging into beefy chords on "Backscratcher" and amped-up dual-harmony guitars on "Girls Want Rock." But tracks like "Street Survivor" show the band knows not all arena jams are simply cranked up sing-a-longs. Free Energy doesn't need the big venue – they've already got stadium-sized heart.
