Gold Fields, 'Dark Again' (Grouplove and Captain Cuts Remix) – Song Premiere

Gold Fields' "Dark Again" already grooves with New Wave synth, a solar guitar riff and flashy disco sheen, now a new remix by Grouplove and Captain Cuts shifts the song into a new gear on the dance floor. Chopped vocal samples create a new hook in place of guitar, flittering through bouncy bass and sun-drenched vocals. The re-imagining took Gold Fields by surprise.

"We didn't expect [Grouplove and Captain Cuts] to take it to the place they did," Gold Fields' Vin Andanar tells Rolling Stone. "That's the great thing about remixes, taking something that's not yours and making it your own." The original version of "Dark Again" is on Gold Fields forthcoming debut, Black Sun, out February 26th. Gold Fields is on tour in North America through March 2nd.
