Green Day Documentary to Premiere at X Games

Green Day's new documentary ¡Quatro! will premiere at this year's winter X Games, which start January 26th in Aspen, Colorado, MStarNews reports. ¡Quatro! tracks Green Day's creative process during the writing and recording of their recent album trilogy, ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tré!, and also includes live footage from shows across the U.S.

The doc was officially announced in November, but frontman Billie Joe Armstrong told Billboard over the summer it was in the works, as was another movie about the band's early days that was being pieced together with vintage footage. Some highlights from ¡Quatro! premiered back in November on VH1, though there's currently no word on a release date for the other film.

After cancelling their remaining shows in 2012 as Armstrong sought treatment for substance abuse following a meltdown at the iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas, Green Day will resume touring on March 28th at Chicago's Allstate Arena.
