An inquest into the death of Amy Winehouse will be heard again next month because the coroner who oversaw the inquiry lacked the proper qualifications, The Associated Press reports. Winehouse was found dead in her home in July 2011, and an inquest that October determined she had died of accidental alcohol poisoning.

Suzanne Greenaway, the assistant deputy coroner who ran the inquiry into Winehouse's cause of death, had been appointed to her position by her husband, and resigned a month after the Winehouse inquest when her qualifications were questioned. Her husband, Andrew Reid, the coroner for inner north London, has also resigned.
A spokesman said the Winehouse family had not requested the new inquest, which will take place January 8th.
