James Murphy, Erykah Badu Among Acts Playing Red Bull Music Series

Red Bull Music Academy will bring Brian Eno, Erykah Badu, Nile Rodgers, LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy, Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and more to New York as part of its five-week 2013 event series. A-Trak, Erykah Badu, and Four Tet are also among the over 230 artists performing at the festival, which will feature 34 special shows from April 28th to May 31st.

Among the events are Brian Eno's audio-visual installation 77 Million Paintings in the former location of Café Rouge for the entire month of May, with an "Illustrated Talk" on May 6th; the Red Bull Music Academy Culture Clash at the Roseland Ballroom on May 9th, featuring A-Trak and Just Blaze; and a dance party and documentary screening at Brooklyn's Grand Prospect Hall for the 12th anniversary of James Murphy's DFA Records on May 25th.
