Jane's Addiction have announced their official Lollapalooza after show concert, which will take place on August 4th at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom.
The band is putting on the show with sponsors Rolling Stone, Rock Revival and Red Bull Sound Stage, while the group will also be picking a rising band to open the show.
“Over the years the after show has become an important part of the Lollapalooza experience," said Jane's Addiction frontman and Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell in a statement, hinting that the group was working on incorporating "immersive theatre aspects" into the evening's festivities.
To top it all off, the group is offering their most recent record, The Great Escape Artist, as a free download on the Lollapalooza homepage starting today.
Following Lollapalooza, Jane's Addiction will head back out on the road in support of The Great Escape Artist, for dates alongside Die Antwoord, Mute Math and Band of Skulls.
The band also announced that they've confirmed that they will be inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year, the first of what promises to be many celebrations of the band's 25th anniversary in 2013.
"This year, on the Saturday night of Lolla weekend, we're going to take the after party to an even higher place," added Farrell in the statement about the after party. "Get ready for a next level after show Chicago!”
This year's Lollapalooza will take place August 3rd-5th in Chicago, with headliners Black Sabbath, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, and Jack White, along with Florence & The Machine, Avicii, and many more.
