It seems J.Lo's boyfriend may have let the cat out of the bag regarding his lady's "Idol" future.
After weeks of rumors claiming Jennifer Lopez will return to "American Idol" as a judge, the singer's boyfriend, Casper Smart, said the buzz is true.
"Yes," Casper told E! News, when asked if the "Live It Up" singer, 44, would rejoin the Fox reality singing competition for Season 13.
According to E!, Casper thought the network had already made the announcement.
If Jennifer does head back to "Idol," she'll join country superstar Keith Urban - the sole returning judge from Season 12 (Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj have all bowed out).
Neither Fox nor Freemantle would comment on J.Lo's reported return when contacted by Access Hollywood.
"American Idol" returns with its Season 13 premiere in January 2014.
