Kings of Leon's Nathan Followill and Wife Welcome Baby Girl

Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill and his wife Jesse Baylin gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday. Named Violet Marlowe Followill, the baby was born at 4:01 pm in Nashville, weighing 7 pounds, 13 ounces.

The couple announced they were expecting earlier this year and were married in 2009. This year, Kings of Leon remained rather quiet musically, but bassist Jared Followill got engaged to his girlfriend Martha Patterson this past April, while frontman Caleb Followill and his wife Lily Aldridge gave birth to their first child in June.

Back in September, Jared told Rolling Stone that Kings of Leon were in the beginning stages of plotting the follow-up to their 2010 record, Come Around Sundown. "We're just trying to have fun with it and just have a relaxed-type thing," he said. "We're just meeting with producers and stuff. I think we're going to try and start it this year. We'll see."

Baylin, a singer-songwriter as well, released her third album, Little Spark, earlier this year.
