Lil Wayne Receives Hospital Visits from Drake, Nicki Minaj and More

Lil Wayne remains hospitalized in Los Angeles, where he received visits from well-wishers including Nicki Minaj, Drake, Birdman and basketball star Chris Paul while he recovers from a series of seizures last week that sparked rumors of his impending death.

TMZ cameras caught Minaj Saturday visiting the MC who helped break her career, while Birdman tweeted recently that Wayne "will be home real soon." A publicist told Rolling Stone the other day that "Wayne is doing well now. He is recovering and appreciates everyone's concern."

Additionally, TMZ reports that Wayne's condition has not improved enough yet for him to be moved from the intensive care unit.

The rapper has been surrounded by friends and family after being hospitalized last week following a seizure on the set of a music video. Though he was released on Tuesday, his body guards found him on the floor several hours later and the rapper was promptly readmitted.

According to an Us Weekly source, Wayne's health problems could be linked to his consumption of a codeine-based drink often mixed with soda: "He drank too much sizzurp to get a better high," the source said. "He needs rehab but he's not close to death or anything. He's fine and just coming down off the high."

This is not the first time Wayne has dealt with this kind of health scare: Last October, the rapper suffered seizure-like symptoms while traveling on a private jet, causing the plane to make an emergency landing in Texas.
