Mary J. Blige Joins Adam Levine's Team on 'The Voice'

Adam Levine and his mentees on the next season of The Voice will get a helping hand from Mary J. Blige, who will act as as his team's adviser on the hit show's upcoming third season.

"I've always been a huge fan of Mary J. Blige," said the Maroon 5 frontman, who counted Robin Thicke and Alanis Morrisette among his advisers last season. "So it's been great having her on The Voice as an adviser to my team."

The pair have already started filming together, with Blige adding, "I love Adam, he's amazing. I'm so happy to be working with him and his team."

Blige isn't the first adviser to be announced for The Voice's new season: Last week it was announced that crooner Michael Bolton would join country star Blake Shelton's team. No word yet on who will be assisting Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green.

The third season of The Voice premiers September 10th on NBC. The Voice will be airing twice during the 2012-2013 season, both in the fall and spring.
