New Michael Jackson Cirque du Soleil Show Will Debut in Vegas

A new Cirque du Soleil show based on the music and life of Michael Jackson will come to Las Vegas this summer, The Associated Press reports.

100 Greatest Artists: Michael Jackson

According to Daniel Lamarre, the CEO of the famed acrobatics group, the new show will be dubbed "Michael Jackson ONE," and previews are set to start May 23rd at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on the Strip, with the official premiere slated for June 29th. The title reportedly alludes to the central paradox of Jackson's career – his multifaceted persona and changing musical styles.

This is not the first time Cirque du Soleil and the king of pop's estate have teamed up:. Their extravagant traveling show, "Michael Jackson: Immortal World Tour," premiered last year in Montreal, and went on to be one of the highest earning tours of 2012.
