My Morning Jacket Rehearse 'Love for Levon' Tribute

Last October, musicians and friends gathered in New Jersey to celebrate the life and legacy of the late Levon Helm, who died last April at age 71. Roger Waters, John Mayer, Gregg Allman, Ray LaMontagne, Dierks Bentley and My Morning Jacket were among those who came together for the tribute show. In this exclusive clip, My Morning Jacket offers a glimpse into their rehearsal process for the gigantic gig.

The rockers covered the Band's "Ophelia" and "It Makes No Difference," and then were joined by Roger Waters and G.E. Smith for "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down." Here, My Morning Jacket dig into "It Makes No Difference," giving it their all despite a totally empty arena.

"I watched something infectious going around that night, spreading across the face of everyone onstage and off. . . Levon's beautiful smile, warm and hugging our happy little souls," bassist Tom Blankenship tells Rolling Stone.

Love for Levon: A Benefit to Save the Barn will be released on DVD, Blu-ray and CD on March 19th.
