OFF! Cancel Gigs as Keith Morris Recovers From Diabetic Coma

A Keith Morris health scare has prompted OFF! to cancel a West Coast tour this month, the punk-rockers say on their Facebook page. The singer is recovering from a diabetic coma he slipped into after returning home from performing at Australia's Big Day Out last month. "Sadly, we have to cancel our west coast tour due to illness. Refunds are available at point of purchase," reads the band's Facebook message. "Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to performing in these cities in the near future."

OFF!'s Keith Morris: I'm Not Punk, Just 'Pissed Off'

OFF! were set to play nine dates this month, starting February 7th in San Diego and wrapping up February 17th in Denver. Morris recalled the coma in an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this month.

"I'm a diabetic and I failed to eat lunch. Came back, hung out with my girlfriend, and the whole idea was that we were going to do what grown-ups do – go take a nap and go get something to eat," he said. "I should have eaten first. So we did what we did, and I passed out. As I passed out, I actually blacked out and went into a diabetic-induced coma. So I'm kind of like the T-shirt that's been sitting in the dryer for three days."

Morris has been a busy guy lately: in addition to the Australia trip, he has reunited members of Black Flag as Flag for live dates this spring.
