OWL Examine Consequences in 'The Right Thing' – Premiere

Life's choices come with consequences, and in OWL's new video for "The Right Thing," the hard rockers deal with personal liberation and the difficult idea of "the right thing." Frontman Chris Wyse – bassist for the Cult – stares gravely into the camera as the reel splits into multiple viewpoints. Thick, distorted guitars crash on top of quick, hazy images of a boy and girl escaping. But no matter how far they run, life's consequences are inescapable.

The Cult Return With Intense New Album

"[The song] asks a question that can be answered differently every time you ask, depending on the moment. We need to try to do it right the first time and not get lost in fleeting sensations because everything said and done adds up," Wyse tells Rolling Stone, likening the clip to a personal therapy session. "The video shows that you can't run from your actions, that there is karma. It screams out against one's inner battle and power trip in search of the truth."

"The Right Thing" is on OWL's forthcoming album The Right Thing., which is due April 9th.
