    Pilot Season: James Caan to Star in Sports Comedy From Las Vegas Writers

    James Caan has signed on to star in an ABC comedy pilot from Las Vegas writers Mark and Robb Cullen.

    The Oscar nominee will star as Terry Sr. in the Untitled Cullen Brothers Project, a single-camera comedy about a recently divorced single mom who temporarily moves in with her estranged father, a beer-drinking former baseball player. She reluctantly starts coaching her son's Little League team and finds herself drawn back into the sports world she once vowed to leave behind.

    Aaron Kaplan will also serve as an executive producer.

    The project marks a reunion for the Cullen brothers and Caan, who starred on Las Vegas for four seasons. He recently appeared on his son Scott's series, Hawaii Five-0. He will next recur on the new season of Starz's Magic City.
